The fiscal cliff debate lands of the floor of the U.S. House as the countdown continues. Speaker John Boehner making his case to lawmakers on Tuesday.

FOX News Radio's Jared Halpern reports from Washington:

Two days after a White House meeting with President Obama, House Speaker John Boehner is asking...

(Boehner) "Where are the President's spending cuts? The longer the White House slow walks this process, the closer our economy gets to the fiscal cliff."

Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi counters with a question of her own...

(Pelosi) "Where are the revenues? Where are the revenues?"

Pelosi accusing the GOP offer of stripping entitlements.

(Pelosi) "The Republicans refuse to touch one hair on the head of the wealthiest people in our country."

The public gridlock playing out now just about three weeks before tax rates are set to go up across the board.
