MN Police Officer Killed During Routine Check

Authorities are describing the death of a six year police veteran in Minnesota as an ambush killing.

Six year police veteran Tom Decker shot fatally, hit twice as he got out of his squad car in Cold Spring, Minnesota while responding to a report of a suicidal man.

The Sheriff’s office saying it got a call late Thursday from Ryan Larson’s family members that he might be suicidal.�Police went to his home once and couldn’t raise anyone.�Then returned about two hours later. That is when Officer Decker was shot while wearing a�bulletproof�vest.�Larson held on suspicion of murder. Decker leaves behind a wife and four young children.
