FOX in the Fast Lane: Tums Fast Relief 500 (Martinsville)

The Chase for the Sprint Cup returns to Martinsville Speedway on Sunday for the Tums Fast Relief 500, and the driver shuffle takes another turn.

FOX News Radio’s Marghiee “Trackside” Teshineh previews the race:

FOX in the Fast Lane.

Brad Keselowski says despite unforeseen accidents at Martinsville, he knows he can win there for one reason:

(Keselowski) “We’ve had speed at Martinsville and I’m encouraged by that.”

When he looks at his record at Martinsville, Clint Bowyer feels:

(Bowyer) “We just keep getting better and better there.  I’ve gotten, you know, a lot better there over the years.”

And Kevin Harvick is not worried about doing well at Martinsville because:

(Harvick) “Whether it be trucks, or Nationwide, or Cup, we’ve been able to put the car in Victory Lane.”

A.J. Allmendinger, still looking for a new team after getting dropped by Penske Racing, will represent Phoenix Racing again this weekend at Martinsville.

Dale Earnhardt, Jr. gets the all-clear from doctors and will race at Martinsville after sustaining a concussion at Talladega that sidelined him for two races.

And good news for Jr.’s fill-in driver, Regan Smith.  Next season, he will be driving the #5 full-time in the Nationwide Series for JR Motorsports.
