Securing America: U.S.-Israel Military Exercises Begin

Some military muscle-flexing got underway Sunday, a weeks-long military exercise among allies including the U.S. and Israel in the Eastern Mediterranean.

FOX News Radio’s Kerin McCue has details in our ongoing series on national security:

Securing America.

Dubbed “Austere Challenge 2012,” the United States and Israel have mounted their largest-ever military exercise to date – 4,500 troops in all are taking part amidst the ever-growing threat from Iran and its nuclear program.

The joint effort will test how well U.S. and Israeli air defense systems would do versus missiles and rockets fired from beyond the Persian Gulf.
