Newsweek to End Print Edition, Go All-Digital

There’s news about Newsweek.  In a sign of the times, the longtime magazine will soon disappear from your newsstand, another victim of the digital revolution.

FOX News Radio’s Hank Weinbloom has details:

When Tina Brown took over Newsweek two years ago, she called it:

(Brown) “A magazine that is of such quality, of such legend.”

But today, she announced Newsweek will end its print magazine, cutting staff, continuing on as an online publication to be called Newsweek Global.

For nearly 80 years, Newsweek and Time battled for dominance in the weekly news magazine market.  Newsweek surviving the advent of TV news and the 24-hour cable news cycle.  The final print issue will be December 31st.
