AEHQ: Vice Presidential Debate Tonight [VIDEO]

The campaigns are back in debate mode tonight, but it’s the vice presidential candidates who will go eye-to-eye, rather than President Obama and Mitt Romney.

FOX News Radio’s Jennifer Keiper and Jared Halpern preview tonight’s VP Debate from Centre College in Danville, KY:

From America’s Election Headquarters…

I’m Jennifer Keiper at Centre College.  Some of the streets have been repaved and shop windows feature the colors red, white and blue here in Danville, Kentucky – it’s where the 2012 Vice Presidential debate is taking place.

Vice President Joe Biden this week took part in debate camp in Delaware, with Congressman Chris van Hollen of Maryland playing Paul Ryan.  Vice President Biden is under pressure after President Obama’s performance last week, which has dealt a blow to the momentum in his poll numbers.

In the often-employed strategy of lowering expectations, Republican running mate Paul Ryan calls the Vice President one of the most experienced debaters in modern political history.

(Ryan) “But the Achilles heel he has is President Obama’s record.”

This is the only debate between the running mates.  It’s a 90-minute format, covering both foreign and domestic policy.
