AEHQ: Previewing Tonight’s Debate [VIDEO]

Tonight is the first of three debates between President Obama and former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney.

FOX News Radio’s Jessica Rosenthal previews from the University of Denver:

From America’s Election Headquarters…

Tonight’s debate will focus on domestic issues.  Peter Eyre with the Commission on Presidential Debates says the format will allow for more actual debating.

(Eyre) “If there’s a really good discussion going, the moderator can facilitate that and encourage it, without having to just jump to the next topic.”

Both sides have downplayed their candidates skills.

(Saul) “Obviously, President Obama, this will be his eighth one-on-one Presidential debate.  It will be Governor Romney’s first.”

That’s Romney campaign spokeswoman Andrea Saul.  President Obama campaign spokesman Ben LaBolt says do not expect any zingers.

(LaBolt) “Millions of Americans, tuning in for the first time, who want to hear about the economic choices in this election.”

The first half of the debate focuses entirely on the economy.
