NY Pet Cemetery Named National Historic Place

There’s a “purr-fect” addition to the National Register of Historic Places.

FOX News Radio’s Don Mathisen reports:

(Ramones – “Pet Sematary”) “I don’t wanna be buried in pet sematary.”

It’s a first.  There are about 2,700 cemeteries on the register, and the 100-year-old Hartsdale Pet Cemetery is the first animal burial ground to be so honored.

There are about 75,000 animals – and 700 pet owners – buried on the grounds.  One travel guide lists the cemetery among the world’s 10 best places to be entombed.  Others on that list: the Taj Mahal and the Great Pyramids.
