46 Million Americans in Poverty in 2011
The Census Bureau is giving us another snapshot of tough economic times in the U.S.
FOX News Radio’s Steve Taylor reports from Washington DC:
Fifteen percent of the nation’s population, 46 million people, were living below the poverty line last year. That percentage is slightly lower than the year before. The Census Bureau also says the median income of Americans fell 1.5% to $50,000 dollars; numbers that are certain to turn up in political speeches in coming days.
