An emotional appearance kicked off the Primetime hours at the final night of the Democratic National Convention. A little over a year-and-a-half after being shot during an attempted assassination - which left six people dead - former Arizona Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords brought a standing ovation in Charlotte.
FOX News Radio's Kirstin McNary reports:
(Convention Chants) "Gabby! Gabby!"
She brought Convention-goers to their feet - and to tears - leading them in the Pledge.
(Giffords) "I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America..."
Former Arizona Congresswoman Gabby Giffords walked on the stage with a pronounced limp, part of the physical aftermath of being shot in the head at a campaign event last year.
(Giffords) "One nation, under God, indivisible...Liberty, and Justice for all!"
