Before the big speeches of the DNC Wednesday night, the Democratic Party updated its platform to include a few things, even though it sounded like many in the party didn't want to.
FOX News Radio's Jessica Rosenthal reports from the DNC in Charlotte:
The DNC Chairman, LA Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa asked the party to amend the platform, adding the word 'God' in and recognizing Jerusalem as the capital of Israel. He needed a two-thirds vote by voice, but after the first time didn't get it.
(Villaraigosa) "Let me do that again."
He did that two more times then decided to amend the platform amid the continuing boos. New Jersey Delegate Steven Goldstein says as far as Israel goes, he believes the President has proven his support.
(Goldstein) "If I didn't think that President Barack Obama was strong on Israel, I couldn't support the guy and as the Jewiest Jew you'll ever meet I'm really proud to stand by him."
