If you’re trying to lose weight, cutting calories might be as easy as setting a little mood lighting.

Trying to eat less? Researchers say the ambiance of where you’re eating can make all the difference.
A team at Cornell University transformed part of a fast food restaurant with mild music and dim lighting. Customers in that section consumed 18% fewer calories than people in the area with bright fluorescent lights and louder music.
Study authors say setting the same mood while eating at home can have the same effect.
