3 Dead in NJ Grocery Store Shooting
An investigation is underway after a shooting early Friday morning at a New Jersey Pathmark grocery store. Three people, including the gunman are dead. Authorities say that the gunman was a 23 year-old ex-Marine dressed in military clothing when he opened fire, killing an 18 year-old woman and a 24 year-old man.
FOX News Radio’s Courtney Kealy reports:
Officers arriving on the scene found the suspect dead, apparently of a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Old Bridge Police say the suspect, who was also working the last shift, left the store briefly around 3:30am, and reentered the store firing his weapon.
(Bruce Kaplan) “Two of the employees were shot and killed. The other were able to hide and escape.”
Old Bridge Police say a dozen or so employees were inside at the time, finishing up the night shift and getting ready to open the store. An AK-47 with multiple magazines and a handgun were found.
