FAA: No Change in Electronics Rules…Yet
The Federal Aviation Administration is telling iPad and other electronic gadget users to sit tight when it comes to rules for using their devices during critical parts of flights.
FOX News Radio’s Steve Knight reports:
We all know the rules: Turn off your iPad or computer on take-off, and turn ’em off again when the plane’s landing. If the plane is higher than 10,000 feet, there are no restrictions on gadget use.
Back in March, the FAA hinted that it might relax the rules. Now, the agency says it’s forming a committee to study the issue, but recommendations won’t be ready until next March. And then, the FAA has to decide.
As for cellphones, forget it.
