America’s Growing Debt: Add Another Trillion Dollars

America’s red ink is going to get deeper. Already nearly $16 trillion dollars in the hole, our debt’s going to keep growing.

FOX News Radio’s Jared Halpern reports a new deficit estimate from Washington:

For a fourth straight year, the Congressional Budget Office predicting the annual deficit to top a trillion dollars, 1.1 trillion to be exact for fiscal year 2012.

The CBO also says it expects the economy to continue recovering at only a modest rate and project annual growth at just a little more than 2%.

As for a long-term forecast, the budget office warns that’s hard to do, since Congress is still deadlocked on what to do about expiring tax cuts and widesperad spending cuts.
