At Least 2 Sheriff’s Deputies Dead in Louisiana Shooting
Police near New Orleans have a pair of suspects in custody, wanted for shooting and killing two officers early this morning.
FOX News Radio’s Eben Brown reports:
Two deputies from Saint John the Baptist Parish, outside New Orleans, are dead and another two wounded following an early morning shootout.
(Harrell) “I know that they are critically injured and they are fighting for their lives.”
Says Louisiana State Trooper Evan Harrell. It’s triggered a response from a number of police agencies, who now have two men in custody for the attack, but the effort isn’t over.
(Harrell) “We’re trying to gather all the information that we can, this is our first priority and we’re trying to do this as quickly that we can to get all the information out and gather anybody that may be involved in this. We don’t know if there are more suspects that were involved.”
