Authorities from all around the country have broken up a large child sex slave ring, saving dozens of children who would've been forced into prostitution.

The FBI and local police across the country say they have rescued 79 minors being held as sex slaves.  The youngsters - 77 girls and two boys - were recovered late last week in a sweep through 57 cities.  The kids were kept in bondage through violence that the FBI's Kevin Perkins calls "horrifying."

(Perkins) "When you talk about prostitution in general, that's a violent crime.  But when you throw in minors, that just put it into a whole new realm."

The FBI says the kids were as young as 13.  More than 100 alleged pimps were arrested.
