UPDATE: Krentcil is free after posting $2,500 cash bond.

A New Jersey mom is facing child endangerment charges, accused of letting her 5-year-old daughter use a tanning booth.

FOX News Radio's Jeff Monosso reports:

She says her daughter accompanied her to the tanning salon, but stood outside the tanning booth while she tanned.

(Krentcil) "I'm not going to bring my little daughter into a 90-degree bed. I mean, that's not normal."

But that's exactly what police in Nutley, New Jersey say a very tan Patricia Krentcil did.

Cops were called to her daughter's school April 24th because she was in extreme pain from burns that she apparently told her teacher she got when her mother let her use a stand-up tanning booth. But Krentcil says her daughter got burned by the sun, and not by a tanning booth.

She's pled not guilty to second degree child endangerment charges.
