They wanted to blow up a bridge in Cleveland, that's what the FBI says, busting five men in an undercover operation.
FOX News Radio's Jennifer Keiper has details:
The plot at first was to knock financial institution signs off of downtown Cleveland high-rises. But, at some point, the FBI says it changed, and the focus of a self-described anarchist group became a bridge about ten miles south of Cleveland, and blowing it up.
Authorities say the five men now in custody actually planted what they thought were legit explosives at the base of the bridge.
(Authority) "The defendants left and went to a remote site and they then, sitting there, entered the codes that they thought would blow up a bridge with innocent people traveling over."
Feds say the explosives given to the group were duds.
