15-Year-Old TX Boy Charged With Murder After Illegal Immigrants Die In Crash

A van crash that killed nine suspected illegal immigrants in Texas has now become a murder case for the juvenile suspect at the center of the accident.

FOX News Radio’s Jennifer Keiper reports:

Over a dozen people were packed into a van designed to hold far fewer, and when it rolled over in Palmview, Texas last week, nine people died.  Authorities say the person driving that van was a 15-year-old south Texas boy, and he’s now facing nine counts of murder and 17 counts of smuggling humans into the country.

The police chief says the boy drove the van because his family had been threatened.  No word yet on whether the teen will be tried as an adult.
