MD Mega Millions Jackpot Goes To Three Educators

    A trio of public school workers in Maryland will split their share of the record $656 million Mega Millions jackpot. The Maryland winning lottery ticket is one of three nationally that split the jackpot.

    FOX News Radio’s Rich Johnson reports from Baltimore, Maryland:

    This is the first time the three got together to play the lottery, each contributing $20 dollars for 60 common tickets and each coming away with a nice prize.

    (Martino) “The after tax claim for each of the winners comes out to $34.997 million.”

    Maryland Lottery Director Stephen Martino says the three came into the office Monday after they contacted an attorney and a financial planner. The three plan to travel, invest, help relatives, buy new homes and stay at their education jobs.
