Study: Sickouts Could Be A Sign of Lower Intelligence

Is a sickout an indicator of low intelligence? That’s one possible finding in a British study.

FOX News Radio’s Alastair Wanklyn reports from London:

The study found kids assessed as slower learners are more likely as adults to take long-term disability leave.

Researchers studied records going back over decades here in Britain, and found in some cases half of those rated as unable to work were low achievers at school.

There could be many reasons: including manual work carrying greater risk of injury.

But the study, published in British Medical Journal “BMJ Open”, says it’s more evidence of education producing a stronger workforce.
