Online Graphic Warns al Qaeda ‘Coming Soon’ to NYC

A graphic featuring the New York City skyline and an al Qaeda headline has appeared on al Qaeda internet forums and has the FBI and the New York City Police Department trying to locate the source of the message.

It looks like a postcard but the headline in bold letters reads, “al Qaeda coming soon again in New York”.

The chilling graphic has appeared on several al Qaeda internet forums and has both the FBI and the NYPD scrambling to locate its origin.

According to the NYPD spokesman Paul Browne, the police department is taking it very seriously as they do on all things like this. The NYPD intelligence division’s cyber unit is trying to find out if its a credible threat.

The FBI released a statement saying that the FBI’s joint terrorism task force is aware of the posting and investigating its authenticity and origin.
