FOX News Radio’s Steve Taylor reports from Washington:

Five alleged members of a Crips street gang are in custody in Alexandria, Virginia, just outside Washington.

The FBI says the five recruited attractive teenage girls to be prostitutes, sometimes using Facebook, and that at least two of the girls later tried to quit the life and were beaten or cut with a knives.

The FBI says the ring formed in April 2009 and was still operating this month.
