Price at the Pump Rising, But Possibly Peaking
The price at the pump is still edging higher. But is this price surge nearing its end?
FOX News Radio’s Pat O’Neill reports:
Saying fill’er up still has many wallets running on empty.
The latest Lundberg Survey finds that gas prices rose more than 11 cents over the past two weeks, to a national average of $3.93 a gallon.
But independent oil analyst Trilby Lundberg says prices are stabilizing.
(Lundberg) “It would take another crude oil spike, I believe, to really keep up this pace of increase for gasoline at the pump.”
Also on the plus side, Lundberg says there’s a supply excess right now amounting to 18% of total refinery capacity, which would come in handy if demand suddenly picks up.
