George Clooney Arrested [VIDEO]
UPDATE: George Clooney has been released from jail.
Actor George Clooney arrested outside Sudan’s embassy in Washington DC.
FOX News Radio’s Jared Halpern reports from Washington:
The Oscar winner arrested along with his father and Virginia Congressional Democrat Jim Moran.
(Clooney) “Our job is to find periods of time when it is most crucial to talk about it. When there is something we might be able to do to help bring attention at a crucial moment.”
Clooney speaking outside the White House yesterday. He’s spent much of this week in Washington lobbying Congress and Administration officials to put pressure on Sudan’s President.
Clooney and other protesters arrested accuse the Sudanese government of blocking food aid to a region near the border with South Sudan.
The actor was handcuffed and put in a Secret Service van.
