CDC Unveils Graphic Anti-Smoking Campaign
A new anti-smoking campaign rolled-out by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is sure get some attention.

The advertisiments on TV, radio, newspapers and billboards feature former smokers, many young, now suffering from amputations, strokes and seizures.
(PSA) “Berger’s disease. It’s a vascular disease brought on by smoking.”
The $54 million campaign, Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius says, is aimed at preventing young Americans from picking up the habit.
(Sebelius) “We have 4,000 young Americans, under 18, smoking their first cigarette every day.”
443,000 American deaths every year are blamed on tobacco.
