WA Toddler Fatally Shoots Self With Gun He Found In Car

    A tragedy in Tacoma, Washington involving a little boy and a handgun. A three-year-old shot and killed himself with a gun he found in the car while his family was stopped at a gas station.

    FOX News Radio’s Lilian Woo reports:

    It’s the third recent fatal shooting by a child in western Washington.

    While his family stopped for gas, the three-year-old boy…

    (Benjamin) “Got out of his child seat in the back of the vehicle, found the handgun, discharged it once.”

    The boy died. The father, who left his pistol under the seat when he got out to pump gas, also left the boy and infant daughter in the car. She was unhurt.

    Authorities say the man has a concealed weapons permit and no charges are expected.

    On Saturday, a seven-year-old girl killed by a sibling firing a gun. And in February an eight-year-old girl shot dead in a classroom when a gun fired in another child’s backpack.
