Youth Basketball Coach Allegedly Bites Off Ear Of Winning Coach After Game

    A youth basketball coach in Springfield, Massachusetts has been arrested for punching and biting  part of the ear off a rival coach after losing a game.

    According to police, 34-year-old Timothy Forbes attacked the opposing coach as the fifth- and sixth- graders on the Catholic Youth Organization teams shook hands at Holy Name School.

    Philip Lauro, Forbes' attorney, says he pleaded not guilty and will seek bail at a court hearing on Friday.

    The assaulted coach underwent treatment to reattach part of his ear.
