Justice Dept. Blocks Law Requiring Photo ID at Texas Polls

For the second time, the Obama Administration is finding fault with a new voter ID law.

FOX News Radio’s Rich Johnson reports from the White House:

The Justice Department has objected to a new Texas law that requires voters to show a photo ID before they may cast a ballot.

It cites data that shows that about 11% of Hispanic voters in Texas don’t have a driver license or a state-issued identification card.

Texas changed its law to address what it says is ID fraud at the polls. But ‘Justice’ says Texas didn’t present any evidence to back up that claim.

The administration has already voiced objections to a new strict voter ID law in South Carolina.
