Securing America: Enjoying a Safe Spring Break
The State Department is working to make sure American students traveling abroad for their spring breaks can party safely.
FOX News Radio’s Joy Piazza reports in our ongoing series on national security:
It might still be winter, but some students are planning their spring break getaways. The State Department wants students to stay safe and sign up for the Smart Traveler Enrollment Program, which can put travelers in touch with U.S. embassies in the event of an emergency. Students can also download a Smart Traveler app to help along the way.
Earlier this month, the State Department issued a new warning to spring break travelers heading to Mexico due to the ongoing drug cartel violence.
