The White House has been holding off in picking out individual Republican Presidential candidates on the campaign trail, mostly attacking Mitt Romney's record.  But something he said has President Obama's inner circle turning their focus to Rick Santorum.

FOX News Radio's Jeff Monosso reports:

One day after saying that President Obama's agenda is based on some phony theology, Rick Santorum is also condemning the President's environmental policies.

(Santorum) "That man is here to to serve the Earth, as opposed to husband its resources and be good stewards of the Earth."

...Santorum on CBS' "Face the Nation."  But Obama advisor Robert Gibbs says Santorum crossed the line, telling NBC's "Meet the Press"...

(Gibbs) "It's time to get rid of this.  It's time to have a debate on our political positions, but not question each other's character and faith."

The rebuke perhaps a sign the White House is taking Rick Santorum more seriously as a potential challenger in November.
