UPDATE: Beverly Hills Police confirmed on Monday that Houston was unconscious and underwater when her body was discovered in the bathtub at the Beverly Hilton Hotel on Saturday. Two people close to her family told the Associated Press that Houston's family is looking to have her funeral in Newark, NJ, close to where she grew up. Her body has already been released from the coroner's office.
The Grammy Awards celebrate the best in music every year, but a lot of the focus was on remembering one legend in particular on Sunday night.
FOX News Radio's Sabrina Sabbagh was there and tells us what impact the death of Whitney Houston had on the awards show from Los Angeles:
From the moment they heard about the death of Whitney Houston, the Recording Academy knew they had to pay tribute to the phenomenal singer. And from the open, to the close, Houston was on everyone's minds.
(LL Cool J) "Heavenly Father, we thank you for sharing our sister Whitney with us."
...Host LL Cool J, opening with a prayer for Houston. Later on the CBS show, Jennifer Hudson sang "I Will Always Love You" and ended the song with a special message to her idol.
(Hudson) "Whitney, we love...we love you."
As for awards, Adele swept, winning all six awards she was up for.

Meanwhile, mourners gathered in East Orange, New Jersey, where Houston grew up, and in neighboring Newark, where a young Houston was first discovered singing in her church choir.

A memorial service held for Whitney Houston in her hometown church in Newark, New Jersey Sunday morning to pay her tribute.
(Houston Fan) "This is her community, this is her family, and we are just praying for the family right now. That's the most important thing."
Many of the parishioners who knew Houston and her family personally say they are keeping the whole family in their prayers. Houston's mother, Cissy Houston, the well-known gospel singer, led the musical program at New Hope Baptist Church. Houston got her start singing at the church as a child.
