With all the trendy super-foods out there, there is one that is less obvious, but stands above the rest. "The Medicine Hunter," Chris Kilham, tells FOX News Health that the onion has more heart-protective properties than red wine, and also acts as a natural antibiotic.

Kilham says eating just one medium onion a day has superior benefits against cancer, diabetes and cataracts, even more than pomegranates and green tea.
