Golden Globes: ‘The Artist’ and ‘The Descendants” Win Big
The Hollywood Foreign Press gave out its awards during the Golden Globes last night in Beverly Hills.
FOX News Radio’s Sabrina Sabbagh has the details:
We all knew there would be winners and losers, but still all eyes were on host, Ricky Gervais, who didn’t disappoint with endless jokes insulting the Hollywood elite.
(Gervais) “It’s about a load of immigrants who came to America about 100 years ago and they got involved in bribery and corruption and they worked their way up into high society… but enough about the Hollywood Foreign Press.”
In between insults though, there were awards given out. The black-and-white silent film “The Artist” winning three trophies, making it the biggest winner during the NBC telecast.
The family drama “The Descendants” capturing two awards including Best Drama and Dramatic Actor for George Clooney. Other acting winners were Meryl Streep and Christopher Plummer.
