U.S. Navy Rescues Iranian Fishermen Held Hostage [VIDEO]
Despite all its recent threats over a key waterway, Iran now has the U.S. Navy to thank for rescuing fishermen held hostage by pirates.
FOX News Radio’s Alastair Wanklyn has details on the rescue:
The Iranians freed when a helicopter from the USS Kidd spotted a suspected pirate skiff alongside a mother ship. That turned out to be an Iranian cargo boat hijacked two months back, according to its crew. They are now free. 13 Iranians and 15 Somali men are detained. The US Navy says it gave the Iranians food, water, and medical care. There’s no reaction from Iran’s Government, and FOX confirms Iran’s state media is not reporting this news.
