Iran is planning a new military exercise near the Strait of Hormuz. This comes as the country threatens to close the area completely.

An Iranian naval commander has said the next round of war games would take place next month and would be different than previous ones - though he didn't say why.
The navy ended a 10 day drill in the waters off the strait on Tuesday, saying they were showing off the country's defense capabilities. The West believing it's aimed at developing their atomic weapons program.
Earlier in the week, Iran threatened to close the passage if sanctions were placed on them. One-sixth of the world's oil passes through there.
