Court “Date”: Cop Tickets Woman, Asks For Date, Gets Sued

A suburban Chicago cop could be in trouble for mixing business with pleasure, after a woman says he gave her a speeding ticket…then tracked her down to ask her out.

FOX News Radio’s Steve Rappoport reports:

Chris Collins may be one of Stickney, Illinois’ finest, but not exactly one of the smoothest.  A woman suing the officer claims he tracked her down for a date after giving her a speeding ticket in October.

Evangelina Paredes alleges she found a note on her car two days later saying, “It’s Chris, that ugly, bald Stickney cop who gave you that ticket.  I did cost you $132, least I could do is buy you dinner.”

The lawsuit, seeking unspecified damages, also accuses Collins of abusing his police powers.  Collins tells FOX he just wanted a date and meant no harm.
