New Laws In 2012
As the ball drops in Times Square to ring in the New Year this weekend, some new laws will be taking effect across the country.
FOX News Radio’s Jeff Monosso takes a look at some of them:
If you earn minimum wage, you’re getting a raise in Ohio, Arizona, Colorado and five other states. (cha-ching sound) You’ll get a ticket if you’re caught texting while driving in Nevada. Suspensions or expulsions will be handed out in Illinois for students who make threats on Facebook or Twitter. Girls in New Hampshire will have to tell their parents, or a judge before seeking an abortion. (bear noise) Bear gallbladders will be banned in New York. They’re apparently used in some forms of ancient medicine. And no more happy hour in Utah. The state’s banning daily drink specials at bars in 2012.
