Christmas Style: Mt. Vernon Celebrates With Massive Gingerbread House
You’ve heard about gingerbread houses, how about a gingerbread mansion – and a historical one at that?
FOX News Radio’s Mike Majchrowitz reports on one gingerbread house that’s fit for a President:
At President Washington’s Mount Vernon, there is a faithful rendition of that storied mansion…in gingerbread. It’s the creation of former White House Pastry Chef Roland Mesnier. It’s four feet tall – not counting the cupola at the top – and seven feet wide, and what’s more, every bit is edible.
(Mesnier) “Everything you see is made of chocolate or gingerbread. We do not use any props whatsoever.”
And never any cardboard. It even has animals and people, including George and Martha Washington.
