Holiday Shopping Crunch Time

    Lots of people are decking the malls, in an effort to get all their last-minute holiday shopping done.  So are folks still finding deals?

    FOX News Radio’s Jennifer Keiper reports from Chicago & Sabrina Sabbagh from Beverly Hills:

    After that burst of shopping during Thanksgiving weekend, there was a bit of a lull that began to worry retailers.  Now comes word that sales spiked last week ending Saturday, up nearly 22% percent from the week before.

    Shopper: “Good sales, good merchandise, whatever we could find.”

    That shopper among many locating bargains pleasing to their pocketbooks.  And the research from ShopperTrak, which measures foot traffic in the 25,000 U.S. stores, has revised its holiday sales growth forecast for this year over last from a 3% overall increase to 3.7%.  ShopperTrak predicting December gains will likely continue through Christmas and the end of Hanukkah.
