NY Woman Torched to Death in Elevator, Suspect Arrested

    A 73-year-old New York woman suffers a gruesome death, torched by a man she apparently owed money to.

    FOX News Radio’s Courtney Kealy reports from New York City:

    Doris Gillespie, taking the elevator to her fifth-floor Brooklyn apartment, unaware that a man was waiting for her with a blowtorch.  

    Surveillance video from inside the elevator shows the man, Jerome Isaac, carrying a canister with a sprayer, wearing gloves and a dust mask.  He sprayed 73-year-old Gillespie with a flammable liquid, then set her on fire, telling police she owed him $2,000.

    (Nephew) “She feed the homeless, she give people her last dime if they need it, things like that.  She was just a nice person.”

    Gillespie’s nephew saying she was known by her neighbors for her good deeds.
