Is your car, truck, or van among the safest on the road?

FOX News Radio’s Jennifer Keiper reports on the Top Safety Pick award winners.

69 cars, 38 SUV’s, 5 minivans and 3 pickups have earned the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety’s “Top Safety Pick” award.  They’re tested in front, side, and rear crashes.  The roof strength is evaluated, as well as the seat and head restraints.  Russ Rader tells FOX News Radio that among the standouts;

Rader: “Toyota which has 15 winners on the list for 2012. General Motors has 14, and Subaru because they don’t have that many models, but every one is top a safety pick.”

Rader says Honda deserves credit for ‘most-improved’ status because it went back to the drawing board and upgraded roofs on almost a dozen models.
