Cheaters Never Win? Reports: MLB MVP Tests Positive for PEDs
Just months after winning the NL’s MVP award, reports surface that one of baseball’s young stars may have had a little illegal help along the way.
FOX News Radio’s Sal Giangrasso reports:
The MVP using PEDs, or Performance Enhancing Drugs? That’s the accusation against National League Most Valuable Player Ryan Braun, as reported by ESPN. When he won this year’s MVP, Braun said:
(Braun) “I certainly recognize the importance of being a quality all-around player, and I look forward to continuing to get better out there defensively.”
But now, the Milwaukee Brewers star is defending himself, disputing the result through arbitration. ESPN goes on to say Braun faces a 50-game suspension. A Braun spokesman says there are “highly unusual circumstances” in this case, which will support Braun’s complete innocence.
