Harry Morgan had one of the most familiar faces on network television. He was best known as the commanding Army doctor, Colonel Potter on M*A*S*H.

Morgan was also in Dragnet, playing Sgt. Joe Friday’s partner, Officer Bill Gannon.
“Look at this, Joe. Acid, reds, yellows, rainbows.”
Morgan first made his mark on Broadway, in the original production of Clifford Odet’s “Golden Boy” in 1937. He was in more than 90 films, including “High Noon,” “How the West Was Won,” and “Inherit the Wind.”
