Wasting Time on the Web
Some people surf the web for research, or for gathering useful information. But according to a new study, more and more of us are just clicking around the internet to waste time.
FOX News Radio’s Eben Brown reports:
Pick a day of the week; even a work day, during work hours, and chances are someone, usually under the age of thirty, is online but doing nothing productive. The Pew Research Center’s Internet and American Life Project releases the findings of a study showing 53% of adults aged 18-29 log-on for no reason other than to pass the time or to look for some fun activity. And while many reported also using the internet for purposeful activities, 81% of young adults say they cyber-goof-off at least occasionally.
