iDeny: Apple’s iPhone Doesn’t Give Abortion Locations
Apple is drawing controversy over its “Siri” digital assistant feature on the new iPhone 4S, and its inability to locate one particular type of place.
FOX News Radio’s Lisa Lacerra reports:
It seems the voice command feature on the iPhone 4S is unable to help when asked where to find the closest abortion clinic.
(Dalvin) “It seems that it’s more acceptable to talk about where one can purchase sex or, in this case, dump a dead body than it is to provide accurate information about things like where one can get birth control.”
Jennifer Dalvin with the ACLU, which has launched an online petition, calling on Apple to fix Siri. Apple claims Siri’s inability to pull up the information is not intentional, blaming the flaw on the fact that it’s still in “beta” or “testing” phase.
