Bad Sheriff: CO Lawman Held In Jail Bearing His Name
He was once a nationally-recognized, tough, law-and-order sheriff. Now retired, he’s doing time in the jail he used to run.
FOX News Radio’s Ron Flatter explains why:
Patrick Sullivan was once the National Sheriff of the Year. But now retired, Sullivan was thrown in the Centennial, Colorado jail that’s named for him.
(Robinson) “This is a sad time for the Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office, and certainly a sad time for our community.”
Current Sheriff Grayson Robinson used to work for Sullivan, who is now accused of trying to trade methamphetamines to a man in exchange for sex with him. Sullivan claimed he has been working with meth addicts, but the DA’s office says that doesn’t check out.
(Robinson) “No one is above the law, and certainly not a current or former peace officer.”
The 68-year-old Sullivan had his bail set at $500,000.
