Prince William to the Rescue: Royal Co-Pilots Mission That Saves 2 Sailors
Going above and beyond what many think of as the typical Royal duties, one well-known member of the British Royal Family helps save two lives.
FOX News Radio’s Chris Hoenig has details:
Prince William, co-piloting a Royal Air Force rescue helicopter after an English cargo ship sank in the Irish Sea early Sunday.
(Groenenberg) “They were able to find two people in the water, and airlifted them away and took them back to RAF Valley.”
…Coast Guard Spokeswoman Jo Groenenberg. The crew also picked up one body during the mission. The ship was carrying 3,000 tons of limestone and a crew of eight when it’s hull cracked around 2am local time. The two in the Duke of Cambridge’s helicopter are the only known survivors.
