Fine Fired: Syracuse Cans Coach Accused of Child Sex Abuse
Syracuse University has fired an assistant basketball coach in the wake of child molestation charges against him.
FOX News Radio’s Lisa Lacerra reports:
Syracuse University’s Senior Vice President for Public Affairs, Kevin Quinn, issuing a statement reading in part: “Bernie Fine’s employment has been terminated effective immediately.”
Fine has been on administrative leave after allegations surfaced earlier this month that two former ball boys were molested by Fine when they were teenagers. A third accuser came forward last week. Fine denies the allegations.
ESPN played an audio tape of one of the victims and Laurie Fine, Fine’s wife, where she admits on tape that she knew “everything that went on.”
